The Special Needs class which is held in the Rifle Range at Sutton Coldfield Football Club is a come when you want to class that specialises in helping you to overcome problems that may occur or give you extra help with your training exercises.
The class members are all really friendly and the atmosphere very sociable and relaxed. The class caters for all including those who want to just do something a bit different with their dog, extra training for tests, specific exercises such as heel work, recalls and stays to some who have dogs who are reactive with other dogs. In other words it caters for the special needs of each partnership as all dogs and people are different.
I try to make the class fun and relaxed for both owner and dog so that you set the pace you want to go at which is usually higher than I would ask you to do. I also try each week to do a slot so that you can each do an exercise you want or need to do.
A lot of the exercises done in class are food/toy orientated and based on things that are needed on a day to day basis.
My aim is to put you at ease to enable you to enjoy training your dog so that he/she is a pleasure to own.
You would be very welcome to come on a Tuesday afternoon without your dog to see what we do.. If you want to bring your dog along please contact me first as I need to know whether there are any problems I need to be aware of.
The fee for the Special Needs class is £5 per session.
All are welcome.
1-2-1 sessions are available if required.
